Dak Lak Border Guards Enhance Civil Affairs and Launch Cambodian Language Learning Model

The Border Guard Command of Dak Lak Province in Vietnam's Central Highlands has launched new initiatives to strengthen relations with local residents and stabilize border areas. On July 31, the provincial Border Guard Command assigned areas for civil affairs activities and decided to deploy a model program titled "Learn One Cambodian Phrase Every Day." This initiative aims to facilitate smoother relations with Cambodia, which shares a border with Vietnam, and to gain the understanding and cooperation of local residents. Under its one-party system, Vietnam prioritizes social stability and economic growth, with border security being directly linked to national security. Dak Lak Province, in particular, shares a long border with Cambodia, and promoting interaction among residents is believed to contribute to deterring illicit activities and fostering cultural harmony. The Border Guard has also continuously engaged in community contributions, including commemorative events for the Day of Fallen Heroes and Invalids (July 27) and activities to honor families of revolutionary contributors. Furthermore, the command is actively adopting new technologies, establishing a drone unit, and enhancing border protection through the reinforcement of river and stream embankments. These efforts demonstrate Vietnam's commitment to balancing domestic stability and advanced border management while pursuing economic growth and strengthening international relations.
