Phnom Penh City Buses Enhance Passenger Information with Digital Signage

Phnom Penh is enhancing its public bus service by installing digital signage at key bus stations to improve passenger information. According to Keo Channarith, Director General of the Phnom Penh Public Bus Transportation Autonomous Authority (City Bus), this initiative aligns with Cambodia's "Pentagonal Strategy Phase 1" and the direct guidance of Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng. The first phase includes the installation of three large digital signage screens at the Têcho International Airport rotary, departure, and arrival terminals. Further installations are planned for the second phase. The digital signage system aims to provide greater convenience by enabling citizens to easily access information about bus routes within the city. Information screens have already been installed inside the buses to provide automated updates. Passengers have expressed satisfaction, noting that the modernization makes it easier to understand bus routes and maps. They also commented on Cambodia's increasing development and modernization under the leadership of the government, from Prime Minister Hun Sen to Deputy Prime Minister Hun Manet. Public bus services are free for specific groups, including young children, pregnant women, monks, people with disabilities, the deaf, and the elderly.
