The newly introduced technologies include an ENT Endoscopy System, a SIRIUS 60W Thulium Fiber Laser, a DEXA Scan (bone density measurement machine), and an ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) system. Dr. Suon Samith, Director of Techo Santepheap National Hospital, stated that the installation and operationalization of these new generation medical devices represent another significant achievement in strengthening the hospital's technical capabilities and expanding its specialized medical services. These devices are expected to contribute to improving the accuracy of diagnoses, enhancing treatment effectiveness, ensuring patient safety, and reducing the need to refer patients for treatment outside the hospital. Specifically, the SIRIUS 60W Thulium Fiber Laser is a new generation laser technology for treating urinary system diseases, particularly kidney stones, ureteral stones, and bladder stones, as well as benign prostatic hyperplasia. This technology helps reduce bleeding, pain, and recovery time, aiding patients in faster recuperation. The ENT Endoscopy System is an examination system for the ear, nose, and throat equipped with a high-definition camera, allowing doctors to clearly visualize internal structures and make timely and accurate diagnoses. The DEXA Scan is a bone density measurement device used to diagnose osteoporosis, assess fracture risk, and monitor treatment effectiveness. It is particularly important for the elderly, postmenopausal women, and individuals with a high risk of osteoporosis. The ERCP system is an endoscopic technology for diagnosing and treating diseases of the bile ducts and pancreas, such as gallstones in the bile ducts, bile duct obstruction, and related conditions. This technology can help reduce the need for abdominal surgery, minimize complications, and shorten patients' recovery periods.
