Phnom Penh City is accelerating the digitalization of public service delivery, in line with the 'Pentagonal Strategy' of the 7th mandate government led by Prime Minister Hun Manet, which prioritizes 'Technology.' Nine additional public services are now available for online application through the One-Stop Service offices at the 14 district administrations within the capital. This initiative aims to bring services closer to citizens and streamline administrative procedures. Ly Eivin, Chief of the One-Stop Service Office of the Phnom Penh City Administration, announced the launch of these new online services during a workshop held on July 17. The workshop marked the official launch of online service provision through the One-Stop Service mechanism in 7 Makara and Doun Penh districts, attended by Deputy Governor Hout Hai, district governors, and numerous business owners. Citizens have expressed satisfaction with the increased accessibility of services, particularly appreciating the knowledge gained in creating online service application accounts, which enhances transparency and speed. The 7th mandate government consistently emphasizes the highest priority on serving citizens. Prime Minister Hun Manet has strongly urged sub-national administrations to focus on providing efficient services and avoid delays that could lead to public dissatisfaction. The expansion of online services is seen as a concrete step towards realizing these government directives. Information Source: Kampuchea Thmey Local
