Library Development : Reading habit promotion festival in Yangon

Jointly organized by Information and Public Relations Department and Department of Basic Education, a library development and reading habit promotion festival was held at No.2 Basic Education High School, Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township in Yangon on Friday. Over 2,500 basic education students from 4 townships within Dagon Myo Thit District participated in the festival.The festival featured a variety of engaging indoor and outdoor games, as well as reading-related competitions such as article, essay and impromptu where students had the opportunity to share their knowledge and exchange experiences. Winners of the respective competitions were also awarded with honorary prizes.The exhibition featured departmental displays from various sectors, including the Fire Services, Education, Red Cross, Drug Elimination, and Traffic Police. These displays provided students with valuable knowledge and practical information about the important roles and services of each department.
