Pantsuung Military Station Defeated Troops Attacked Again During Transport to Nat Yekan, Magway, Air Support Called

Reinforcements sent by the military junta to Nat Yekan Strategic Hill in Padan Military Station, Magway Region, have come under attack by the Arakan Army (AA), forcing them to call for air support, sources told The Irrawaddy. Since the morning of July 26, the military junta has been conducting continuous bombing attacks from the air to protect military convoys advancing from the direction of Zinbwe village, according to ground sources. The troops under the 10th Military Operations Command (10th MOC) were brought into Padan Military Station, Magway Region, on July 24, after suffering defeat in Pantsuung Military Station, Bago Region. In addition to the military convoy, about 70 more military vehicles are said to have continued towards the Bago Yoma mountain range via the 905th Military Base. "We have learned that reinforcements are continuously being sent towards Nat Yekan to withdraw troops from Minepan, 17th MOC," a source told The Irrawaddy. On July 25, the Arakan Army (AA) attacked the military convoy heading from Zinbwe to Nat Yekan with drones and heavy weapons, causing casualties to the military junta. Therefore, in addition to air support, continuous support was provided with heavy weapons from the 905th Military Base, the 14th Infantry Battalion, and the Zinbwe side. Fighting has intensified again near Nat Yekan, where the battles had temporarily subsided, and with the defeated troops from Pantsuung also reaching the vicinity of the Yoma mountains, the military situation in the area could become more tense, military sources analyzed.
