Cambodia to Improve Complaint Resolution Procedures to Enhance Judicial and Administrative Transparency
Cambodia is advancing the development of new regulations and procedures to ensure swift and transparent resolution of complaints and grievances within its judicial and administrative processes. Minister of Interior Sok Sokhen has instructed relevant parties to expedite the completion of effective procedures.
The Ministry of Interior of Cambodia held a meeting on September 11, 2026, to review the progress in developing regulations and procedures for handling complaints and grievances within the judicial and administrative processes. The meeting was led by Minister of Interior Sok Sokhen, with the participation of senior officials and relevant personnel at the Ministry's headquarters. During the meeting, a detailed report was presented on the progress of the complaint resolution regulations and procedures. Participants provided significant feedback and input to further refine these regulations and procedures, aiming for greater depth, comprehensiveness, and high effectiveness. Minister Sok Sokhen expressed his gratitude for the efforts of all leaders and relevant officials. He also provided recommendations to continue reviewing and adjusting the content of these regulations and procedures comprehensively. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of accelerating the preparation to ensure clarity, transparency, and timely response, thereby enhancing the efficiency of complaint resolution work. This initiative is seen as part of efforts to increase trust in administrative services and strengthen the protection of citizens' rights in Cambodia. Particularly, providing a swift and fair resolution mechanism for administrative disputes and dissatisfactions, which may increase with economic development, is considered to contribute to social stability and the improvement of the investment environment.
