Vietnam and Laos have agreed to deepen cooperation in a wide range of areas, including finance, agriculture, border defense, and affairs concerning overseas Vietnamese and Lao citizens. Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc suggested expanding cooperation in crop cultivation, livestock farming, forestry, irrigation, water resource management, environmental protection, the development of processing value chains, increasing the value of mineral resources in Laos, and promoting agricultural trade. The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos reaffirmed its commitment to acting as a bridge to promote cooperation between Lao provinces and Vietnamese localities and businesses, aiming to improve the effectiveness of joint projects in the coming years.
