Chinese-Owned Mattress Factory in Chonburi Engulfed by Fire; Workers Evacuate Safely

A major fire broke out at a large mattress factory owned by a Chinese investor in Bo Thong District, Chonburi Province, on the evening of August 3rd, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Officers from Bo Thong Police Station and more than 10 fire trucks responded to the scene, but the factory was engulfed in flames, sustaining significant damage. At the time of the fire, numerous workers were inside the factory. Fortunately, due to prompt evacuation procedures, it has been confirmed that all workers were safely evacuated outside the premises. No casualties have been reported. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined, and police and fire authorities are conducting a thorough investigation. The factory is a key manufacturing site for mattresses, and concerns are rising regarding the economic impact of the fire.
