Indonesia to Hike Prices of Non-Subsidized Fuel Starting September

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company, announced adjustments to the prices of several non-subsidized fuel products, with increases set to take effect from September 1, 2026. The affected products include Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex, and Dexlite. The specific price changes are as follows: * Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) will see its price rise from Rp 18,300 per liter in August to Rp 19,600 per liter starting September 1. * Dexlite will increase from Rp 19,700 per liter to Rp 23,700 per liter. * Pertamina Dex will be adjusted from Rp 21,150 per liter to Rp 25,200 per liter. VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, stated that these price adjustments are made in accordance with the formula set by the government. The formula considers various indicators, including global crude oil prices, the Rupiah exchange rate, taxes, and other relevant factors such as the purchasing power of consumers using these fuels. Furthermore, Andhora clarified that other non-subsidized fuel products like Pertamax 92 and Pertamax Green 95 will not experience price changes.
