5km Reinforced Concrete Road Opens in Kaoh Andaet District, Takeo Province, Boosting Local Economy

A reinforced concrete road spanning 5 kilometers has been inaugurated in Kaoh Andaet District, Takeo Province, southern Cambodia. This vital infrastructure project was made possible through a generous donation from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha and his wife, and is anticipated to significantly enhance the lives of local residents. The newly constructed road measures 5,000 meters in length and 6 meters in width, connecting the communes of Prey Khlan and Krapum Chhuk within Kaoh Andaet District. Construction was completed on July 28, 2026, and on July 29, Takeo Provincial Governor Vey Samnang, accompanied by provincial deputy governors, the governor of Kaoh Andaet District, and relevant officials, personally inspected the site. Governor Vey Samnang expressed his profound gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha and his wife for their substantial contributions to infrastructure development, underscoring their consistent attention to the well-being and living conditions of the populace. He emphasized that this reinforced concrete road will not only facilitate safer and more convenient travel for residents and students but also play a crucial role in improving household economies and fostering the overall development of Kaoh Andaet District. Furthermore, the governor appealed to the residents living along the road and all travelers to actively participate in the proper maintenance of this valuable public asset, ensuring its longevity for the benefit of future generations. This road construction is part of the Cambodian government's rural development strategy, aimed at revitalizing economic activities and improving living standards, particularly in rural areas.
