Bogor Commuter Line Service Returns to Normal at Jakarta Kota Station After Derailment

Commuter Line Bogor operations at Jakarta Kota Station have returned to normal after being hampered by the collapse of the Commuter Line number 1203 series between Bogor and Jakarta. KAI Commuter announced that services resumed smoothly at 10:30 AM Western Indonesian Time (WIB) after the evacuation process of the derailed train was completed. KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan stated that the operational pattern of the Bogor Commuter Line and the up-and-down service for users at Jakarta Kota Station are now back to normal and can be served on all platforms. "We apologize for the obstacles that have occurred. Currently, KAI Commuter continues to focus on reducing the delay in Commuter Line travel due to the obstacles," said Leza in an official statement on Friday, September 4. As a result of the incident, a total of 21 Commuter Line Bogor trips were delayed, with delays ranging from 15 to 48 minutes. Previously, during the handling and evacuation of the series, KAI Commuter implemented several operational engineering patterns for the Commuter Line Bogor service. Some trips from Bogor to Jakarta City only served travel up to Jayakarta Station or Manggarai Station before returning to Bogor. Engineering was also carried out on the Nambo-Jakarta Kota Commuter Line journey, which only reached Jayakarta Station before returning to Nambo. Meanwhile, the Bogor-Manggarai Commuter Line number 1021 journey was limited to Depok Station. In addition, the journey of Commuter Line number 1022 from Manggarai-Bogor was canceled. With the completion of the evacuation process, the journey of the Bogor Commuter Line can now enter and exit Jakarta Kota Station normally. "Once again, we apologize for the delay. In addition, KAI Commuter continues to strive to maximize services to Commuter Line users," said Leza.
