Kampong Thom, Cambodia -- July 11, 2026 -- Major General Heng Sophal, Director General of Kampong Thom Provincial Police, has issued seven directives to police stations under his jurisdiction to ensure local security, safety, and order. These directives were issued on July 10 when the Major General led forces to visit and encourage police officers at the administrative police posts in Kampong Svay and Prasat Ballangk districts, who are actively providing public services to citizens. Major General Heng Sophal conveyed greetings and well wishes from His Excellency General Net Seth, Director General of National Police, and His Excellency Nuon Pharat, Governor of Kampong Thom Provincial Administration, to the police officers who are diligently performing their duties with a strong sense of responsibility in serving the public and maintaining social security, safety, and order within their respective units. The Major General praised the leadership and forces of the administrative police posts for their unity and solidarity, which has led to continuous achievements, bringing pride and development to their units. To ensure the sustainability of their work, the Major General reiterated and issued seven directives for effective implementation: 1. Strengthen National Police Discipline Regulation No. 873. 2. Strengthen the meeting regime as stipulated. 3. Prepare an action plan for daily duties and responsibilities (providing administrative services to citizens such as residence books, family books, and Cambodian national identification cards). 4. Manage population statistics, monitor and update residents, and track internal and external migration, especially strengthening security in concentrated residential areas, and actively promoting campaigns to prevent, suppress, and crack down on online fraud within their respective jurisdictions. 5. Enhance solidarity and good cooperation with civil servants, authorities, and the public from all walks of life. 6. Increase the dissemination of the "Safe Village-Commune-District" policy in vulnerable areas. 7. In police and community work, maintain close contact by meeting with stakeholders, village chiefs, commune chiefs, commune council members, and citizens every month, planning to disseminate content in designated areas.
