Myanmar-China Cultural Exchange, Rural Landscape Drama Forum Held

As part of the 2026 Myanmar-China Twin City Media Forum and the Myanmar-China Cultural Exchange Week, a Rural Landscape Drama Forum was held on the morning of July 29 at Studio A of Myanmar Radio and Television in Yangon. The forum commenced with performances by 12 artists from Myanmar Radio and Television presenting a rice planting dance song, and a group of four artists from China's Yunnan Xiaomabang Ethnic Music Studio. U Ye Naing, Director-General of Myanmar Radio and Television, stated that this forum is an important discussion platform that will not only strengthen cooperation in the media sector between the two countries but also allow for the exchange of agricultural knowledge, technology, and good experiences. Following this, a panel discussion titled "Though mountains, fields, and lands do not speak, the harvest is still abundant" was also held as part of the forum. Subsequently, as an ethnic traditional costume exhibition, staff from Myanmar Radio and Television demonstrated wearing ethnic costumes, and six artists from China's Yunnan Xiaomabang Ethnic Music Studio also demonstrated wearing traditional costumes. After that, it was learned that Deputy Minister of Information U Ye Tint and Ren Yuanjun, Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Yunnan Daily Newspaper Group, pressed the button to launch the broadcast of the television program "Blessed Hope Rural Landscape," jointly produced by Myanmar Radio and Television and the Yunnan Provincial South Asia and Southeast Asia Regional International Information Center.
