Former Health Minister Expresses Intent to Pay Additional VND 1.1 Billion for Co-defendants' Damage Recovery
Former Vietnamese Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien has expressed her intention to pay an additional VND 1.1 billion (approximately USD 43,000) to help her co-defendants recover damages in a corruption case related to hospital construction projects. Ms. Tien was absent from the appellate hearing but conveyed her wish through her lawyer.
