Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many Leads Volunteer Medical Team for Free Healthcare in Kampong Speu

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service, Hun Many, presided over the opening ceremony of a free medical outreach program on July 19th at Banteay Khmer Secondary School in Sangkeu MuniChey district, Kampong Speu province. This initiative was organized by the volunteer medical team, of which he serves as honorary president. The event saw the participation of provincial leaders, relevant ministries, local administrative officials, the volunteer medical team, the Youth Union of the Cambodian People's Party (YUPP), and approximately 4,700 residents. Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many listened to a summary report from Dr. Hok Kree, Executive Deputy Chairman and Acting Chairman of the Hun Many Volunteer Medical Team for Kampong Speu Province. The report indicated that 837 volunteer medical personnel participated in this humanitarian mission, providing free medical services to around 3,600 residents. Dr. Ouk Kosa, head of the working group for Sangkeu MuniChey district, expressed profound gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many for his continuous concern for the health and well-being of the local population. He also highly praised and valued the dedicated efforts of the volunteer medical team for successfully delivering healthcare services to the residents with smiles. In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many expressed his deepest appreciation and gratitude for the high spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by the volunteer medical team and the YUPP members at all levels, who have actively participated and collaborated in humanitarian missions since 2012, spanning over 14 years. He noted that they have conducted 334 medical outreach missions within Kampong Speu province. Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this free medical campaign not only contributes to maintaining the health of local residents but also reflects the spirit of sacrificing personal time, strengthening friendship and solidarity, and fostering shared responsibility and action through the exchange of experiences between medical team members and YUPP members, all serving the people with "heart and smiles."
