Ethnic Solidarity and Development Party holds 38th anniversary ceremony, plans party congress in December

The Ethnic Solidarity and Development Party held its 38th anniversary ceremony today and is planning to hold a party congress in December, it is known. The commemorative ceremony was held on September 24 at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Ethnic Solidarity and Development Party on University Avenue in Yangon. It is only through the efforts of those who have stood firm in their belief in the party's objectives and policies and have carried out their party duties from the time the Ethnic Solidarity and Development Party was founded until today that the party has been able to survive and stand until this day. Therefore, on this occasion, we express our special respect and honor to all those who participated in the founding of the party, those who took responsibility and carried out duties at various stages of party work, those who remained loyal to the party amidst difficulties, and all those who have strived to contribute to the party's benefit. Furthermore, we will never forget the gratitude and sacrifices of the party members who have passed away while serving the party and those who have strived and exerted efforts for the party. Our party's name itself expresses the political essence and core value of "Ethnic Solidarity and Unity." Solidarity does not mean erasing differences. It means being able to respect and understand different ethnicities, ideologies, experiences, and views, and to unite and cooperate for the common good. Therefore, fostering and strengthening affection, trust, and mutual understanding among ethnic groups is an eternal matter that must be continuously addressed." He further stated, "The Ethnic Solidarity and Development Party is systematically formulating and implementing the party's guiding principles, ideology, policies, and practices, and in accordance with the party's constitution, a party congress is being planned to be held in December 2026. We urge the committee members who are serving at all levels of the party organization to actively cooperate in the successful holding of the party congress, which is the highest and most important for a party." Moreover, he stated that not only the responsibility of the current generation but also the role of the new generation is important in building the future of the party, and that the experiences and historical records of veteran party members must be passed on to the new generation, while also combining the new ideas, modern technological knowledge, and skills of the youth with the experiences of veteran party members. He urged that efforts should be made to support and promote the youth as the future strength of the party and to develop their sense of responsibility and leadership skills.
