Cambodia Praises Public Trust in CPP Leadership and Nationalist Spirit in Defending Sovereignty

Ke Kim Yan, a Standing Committee member of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and head of the party's working group for Banteay Meanchey province, expressed profound gratitude and admiration for the Cambodian people's unwavering trust and support for the CPP's leadership across all government mandates. Speaking on Sunday morning, August 9, 2026, during a meeting with city and commune party officials, village party branch members, youth, and local party officials and units in Banteay Meanchey province, Ke Kim Yan highly commended the tireless efforts of local authorities, all levels of armed forces, party members, the private sector, religious figures, and all citizens in Banteay Meanchey province for their active participation in implementing the party and government's political programs. He particularly lauded the strong spirit of national solidarity and patriotism in sharing hardships, assisting displaced persons along the Cambodia-Thailand border, and heroically defending the territory against invading Thai forces in the past. Ke Kim Yan highlighted that under the energetic, skillful, and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, who faithfully continues the political path of CPP President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the nation has firmly maintained political stability and developed in all sectors. He noted that Cambodia's economy achieved positive growth of approximately 4.2% in the first half of 2026, a testament to its resilience and rapid progress. To continue preserving these achievements, Ke Kim Yan advised and strategically guided all officials, local authorities, and party members to resolutely protect peace, political stability, security, and public order, which are the crucial foundations for development. He stressed the commitment to defend the nation, religion, and the King, safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and fully support the legitimate government. He also emphasized the need to strengthen local security and continue promoting and effectively implementing the 'Safe Village, Commune, District' policy to ensure the safety and security of citizens in all localities.
