Sen Monorom City Launches National ID Card Campaign for Citizens

In Sen Monorom City, Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia, the city's police force is actively continuing a campaign to issue Khmer national identity cards to residents. This initiative targets citizens aged 15 and above, as well as those whose identity cards have expired, directly at their local communities. The campaign aims to facilitate the use of official documents and respond to the essential needs of the populace. The specialized identity card unit of the Sen Monorom City Police Inspectorate, in collaboration with the four administrative police stations, is conducting this active campaign. This important public service is carried out under the high guidance of Brigadier General Chea Chitra, the Provincial Police Commissioner of Mondulkiri, and Mr. Hiek Sophan, the Governor of Sen Monorom City. It is also under the direct leadership and command of Colonel Kan Peng, the Inspector of Sen Monorom City Police. Specifically, on August 31st, Colonel Kan Peng stated that in the central village of Sre Khtum commune, the specialized forces, in cooperation with the Sre Khtum Administrative Police Station, organized a location at the Sen Monorom Market to process applications and take photographs for identity cards for the residents with great care. To ensure that all citizens receive official identity documents for their use, the authorities and relevant officials are urgently appealing to all residents of Sen Monorom City who are 15 years of age or older, or those whose identity cards are nearing or have passed their expiration date, to promptly come and complete the procedures for making and renewing their Khmer national identity cards at the designated locations. These include the Sen Monorom Market (for residents of Sre Khtum commune) and the other three administrative police stations within Sen Monorom City.
