Quang Tri Province Encourages Digital Transformation in Wedding Ceremonies

On July 29, the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province announced new regulations on civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals. The regulations aim to build a healthy cultural environment and preserve and promote good traditional values in social life. Notably, the province is encouraging the application of digital transformation in organizing weddings. This initiative aligns with the national goal of transitioning to a "digital economy" and "digital society" promoted by the Communist Party of Vietnam. Under the one-party system, the government seeks to streamline and modernize all aspects of society, and is supporting the adoption of digital tools even in traditional ceremonies. This is expected to simplify procedures and facilitate information sharing with relatives in remote locations. Meanwhile, rapid economic growth and urbanization in Vietnam are leading to changes in traditional family values and community structures.
