Cambodia Holds Workshop to Enhance District/Commune Administrative Services

A workshop aimed at enhancing the quality of administrative services at the local level was held in Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province, southwestern Cambodia. On August 4th, Mr. Ee Tharin, Governor of Prey Nob District, along with members of the district council, presided over a workshop to disseminate Inter-Ministerial Prakas No. 343 dated April 28, 2026, concerning the provision of administrative services by municipal, district, and provincial administrations. The workshop's objective is to inform the administrations of the 10 communes within Prey Nob district about the procedures for compiling service lists within their jurisdictions and the regulations for providing administrative services. Governor Ee Tharin stated that the workshop aims to disseminate and enhance understanding of the provisions and procedures for providing administrative services. This will ensure that the provision and reception of administrative services at the commune level are clear, accurate, transparent, and efficient, in accordance with the defined competencies and procedures. The Governor emphasized that strengthening understanding and cooperation between the district administration and the 10 commune administrations is a crucial foundation for improving the quality of public service delivery, ensuring equity, and responding more effectively and promptly to the needs of local residents. He further appealed to commune councils, commune chiefs, commune clerks, and officials from all sectors to continue cooperating and paying close attention to effectively serving the local population with even higher efficiency and better outcomes, which is a necessary requirement for the residents.
