Two victims of family stabbing in HCMC out of danger

Two victims, a mother and child, who were seriously injured in a stabbing incident in Ho Chi Minh City's Phuoc Hai commune, have been rescued and are receiving treatment. The suspect in the case has been arrested. On the morning of September 14, leaders of Phuoc Hai commune stated that the suspect was apprehended in the old Ba Ria city area. The suspect's identity and motive for the crime have not yet been disclosed. Around 6 PM on September 13, residents in an alley on Vo Thi Sau Street heard screams and cries for help. Upon rushing to the scene, they discovered the homeowner deceased on the floor. The homeowner's wife, Le Thi Muoi, 58, and her son-in-law, Nguyen Van Linh, 34, managed to escape with severe injuries. The two victims were taken to Ba Ria Hospital for emergency treatment, suffering from wounds to their heads, hands, and legs. After surgery, their health gradually stabilized by the following morning, and they continue to be monitored and treated. According to some residents living near the scene, the suspect is from the same commune and was known to the victim's family. After committing the crime, the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle. That same evening, dozens of investigators from the Ho Chi Minh City Police launched a manhunt for the suspect.
