Cambodia's Ministry of Culture and Arts Party Committee Reviews First Half, Sets Direction for Second Half
The Party Committee of Cambodia's Ministry of Culture and Arts convened to review its first-half 2026 performance and outline plans for the second half. The meeting emphasized loyalty to former Prime Minister Hun Sen's leadership and expressed confidence in the next generation of leaders, particularly focusing on strengthening party influence for the upcoming 2027 and 2028 elections.
On the afternoon of July 31, 2026, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts held a meeting to summarize the work results of the first half of 2026 and set work directions for the second half of 2026 at the Art Theater of the Department of Performing Arts. The meeting was presided over by Her Excellency Dr. Pheung Sakona, a member of the Central Committee and President of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts. Approximately 200 party members from the ministry attended the event, including deputy chairpersons, permanent members, and other party members. Following the presentation of the work results, challenges, and directions for the second half of 2026, Her Excellency Dr. Pheung Sakona, on behalf of the Ministry's Party Committee, expressed sincere gratitude to all party members of the ministry for maintaining their stance, spirit, and awareness. She also conveyed continued support and trust in the wise leadership of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), led by President Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and congratulated the dynamic next-generation leadership who are confidently moving forward to continue leading Cambodia. Her Excellency further stated that the CPP is the sole political force that shares joys and sorrows with the people in all circumstances, adhering to its objectives and ideals: to unite the entire nation, irrespective of race, color, gender, language, religion, political inclination, past, or social status, to build an independent, peaceful, free, democratic, neutral, and socially progressive Cambodia. During the occasion, Her Excellency Dr. Pheung Sakona expressed her profound respect, gratitude, and unwavering support for the wise leadership of Samdech Techo and his successor, as well as for all the heroic soldiers and police forces who are diligently fulfilling their duties to protect the territorial integrity along the borders with neighboring countries with utmost sacrifice and determination. Concurrently, she praised and highly valued the efforts of the leadership, party officials at all levels, and the youth party teams of the ministry. These teams consistently collaborate to implement the appeals and guidance from the Ministry's Party Committee, especially in fostering grassroots movements to achieve resounding victories in the upcoming commune/sangkat council elections scheduled for June 6, 2027, and the general election in 2028.
