China Shares Avid Media Composer Expertise with ASEAN Media Professionals

As part of an official training program on "New Media Systems to Promote High-Quality Industrial Development for ASEAN Countries," held from September 15 to 28, 2026, in Beijing, China, all trainees participated in classroom instruction on "Video Editing Techniques and Practical Application Using Avid Media Composer," presented by Mr. Qin Shengjie. The training is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China, coordinated by the National Radio and Television Administration of China (NRTA), and organized by China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. (CBIC). During the course, Mr. Qin Shengjie shared key points and practical techniques for professional editing (Intuitive & Professional Editing) using Avid Media Composer, a popular international video editing system in the film, television, and large-scale news industries. He likened editing on Avid to "playing a musical instrument," allowing editors to work quickly and in rhythm through the use of keyboard shortcuts, without spending time on complicated functions. The interface and color scheme of Avid have remained consistent for over 20 years, making it easier for editors to work. Additionally, the program introduced the convenience of editing on laptops and recommended the use of Light Gray Mode to reduce eye strain during long working hours. "Furthermore, in terms of media management, we can securely and efficiently store and retrieve video data for large-scale production projects," the expert added. Source: AKP Khmer
