Cambodia's Ta Keo Province Sees Progress on Korean-Funded Community Development Center

TAKEKEO PROVINCE – On the morning of Friday, July 31, 2026, His Excellency Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, accompanied by ministry leadership and technical officials, inspected the progress of construction for the Community Development Center and various infrastructure projects in Trapeang Angk village, Rokar Krau commune, Daun Keo city, Ta Keo province. The Ta Keo Provincial Community Development Center is being established to serve as a platform for human resource development and the promotion of Cambodian agricultural businesses. This initiative aims to enable rural residents to sustainably increase their household incomes by fostering diversification of livelihoods and work innovation through training in technical and vocational skills, life skills, and entrepreneurship. This center is the second of its kind under grant aid from the government of the Republic of Korea. Construction officially commenced with a groundbreaking ceremony on March 3, 2026, and currently, the construction of buildings and various infrastructure has reached 50% completion. During the site visit, His Excellency the Minister instructed the construction contractor to adhere strictly to construction technical standards and the approved blueprints. He also emphasized the importance of expediting the construction work to meet contractual obligations, thereby ensuring the center can soon serve the interests of the local population through its training programs.
