Kampong Speu Governor Inspects Irrigation Systems, Directs Enhanced Water Management

Kampong Speu Governor Chea Somethy led a technical team on September 10 to inspect the current state of irrigation systems in Chbar Mon district. The inspection was attended by the Director of the Provincial Department of Water Resources and Meteorology, the Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and relevant authorities. The primary objective of the inspection was to assess the water storage capacity and distribution of the irrigation systems to meet the needs of the residents. Emphasis was placed on promptly responding to the demand for irrigation water for crops and for daily use by the people. The governor stressed the importance of inspecting water sources, canals, and irrigation systems to ensure efficient and smooth water supply throughout the year. Furthermore, Governor Chea Somethy advised the Department of Water Resources and Meteorology, the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Chbar Mon District Administration, and relevant departments and units to continuously monitor water sources and the crop cultivation situation of the residents.
