MinebeaMitsumi Discusses Further Investment in Cambodia to Boost Economic Development and Technological Innovation

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has held discussions with senior management from MinebeaMitsumi Inc., a prominent electronic components manufacturer, regarding the company's business operations and potential for further investment in Cambodia. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two parties and promote investment in the Kingdom. The meeting, held in Phnom Penh on July 29, 2026, was attended by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the CDC, and Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, President and CEO of MinebeaMitsumi Inc. H.E. Chea Vanntharith, Deputy Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia's Cambodian Investment Committee (CIPC), along with other relevant leaders and officials from the CDC, also participated. The discussions took place in a cordial and cooperative atmosphere, with high regard for MinebeaMitsumi's past business performance. Particular focus was placed on strategic plans for expanding the company's investments within Cambodia. This meeting reflects the close cooperative relationship between the Cambodian government and the foreign private sector, especially major investment companies from Japan.
