Senate Members Advise Bokor City Administration to Enhance Public Service Efficiency
A delegation of Cambodian Senate members visited Bokor City to discuss improving public services, implementing safe village/commune policies, and infrastructure development. Specific recommendations were made to enhance efficiency in serving citizens.
A delegation of Cambodian Senate members visited Bokor City on July 15, 2026, for a meeting with the city's administration, district councils, district scribes, and other relevant authorities totaling 69 individuals. The visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the Senate and local levels, understand progress and challenges in public service delivery, the implementation of the safe village/commune policy, and infrastructure development, while seeking solutions. Specifically, recommendations were made to further enhance the efficiency of work serving the citizens. During the occasion, Senator Chhuon Cham highlighted five key issues: local development for 2025 and directions for 2026, the implementation of the safe village/commune policy, public service delivery, employment opportunities for returning migrant workers from Thailand, and the resolution of various challenges. While highly commending the efforts of the city and district authorities, Senator Cham provided five key recommendations: 1. Preserve Peace: Continue to jointly protect national peace, political stability, and all national social achievements absolutely. 2. Resolve Issues Promptly: Proactively resolve local issues immediately, without allowing minor problems to escalate into major ones. 3. Strengthen Public Order: Crack down on all crimes, including theft, drugs, gambling, and especially cyber fraud (online scams). 4. Administration for the People: Strengthen public administration to become an 'administration by and for the people.' 5. Sustainable Development: All stakeholders must cooperate to promote sustainable, equitable, and inclusive socio-economic development. Senator Cham called on authorities at all levels to continue to trust the leadership of HE Techo and HE Deputy Prime Minister in protecting territorial integrity, peace, and development.
