Motorcycle Parts Store Catches Fire in Dong Nai, Avoids Spreading to Gas Station

A fire broke out on the afternoon of August 5th, engulfing a motorcycle parts store of approximately 100 square meters in Phuoc Binh ward, Dong Nai province. A fuel tanker at the adjacent gas station was temporarily moved to prevent the fire from spreading. The blaze reportedly began around 3 PM from the rear of the motorcycle parts and repair shop located on DT 741 street. Upon noticing the fire, staff and local residents attempted to extinguish it with fire extinguishers and moved assets outside the premises. Due to the presence of numerous flammable materials inside, the fire rapidly expanded, consuming the entire 100-square-meter store. Thick black smoke billowed high into the sky, visible from a considerable distance. The gas station was situated approximately 20 meters away from the burning store. Ms. Hien, a resident living opposite the scene, stated that the flames erupted fiercely from the back of the store. Fearing a potential spread, the fuel tanker at the gas station was relocated to a safe zone. Firefighting police dispatched multiple specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. Within about 15 minutes, the fire was largely under control, and it did not spread to the gas station. While the incident caused no human casualties, a significant amount of parts, equipment, and assets within the store were destroyed. The total loss has not yet been quantified. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
