Knife Attack in Bangkok's Asoke Leaves Four Injured

A FRENZIED man armed with a knife went on a rampage in Sukhumvit 21 Soi 3 (Asok Montri road) this morning (Sep. 24) injuring four people and damaged stalls and other roadside property, PPTVHD36 said. Reporters said that at around 10 a.m. the unidentified crazed man chased and stabbed people walking down a sidewalk and frantically toppled food carts, scattering items on the ground, as well as smashed the windows of nearby shops. The incident necessitated the closure of the entire stretch of road in front of the Israeli embassy to ensure public safety. Preliminary reports indicate that four people got injured. One victim suffered a severe head wound from the blade with rescue workers rushing to provide emergency first aid before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. Police officers subsequently surrounded the area and successfully subdued the man. He has been taken to Thon Lor police station for interrogation to determine the motive behind the attack.
