Cambodia: Parade Celebrates Top High School Graduates, Underscoring Education Investment

Arizon School's Kampong Thom branch organized a parade on September 11, 2026, to celebrate two students who achieved top 'A' grades in the High School Diploma Examination (Bakdup) held on August 10, 2026. Ms. Lim Kuntha, the school director, stated that this parade is a significant activity to encourage and honor the diligent efforts of the outstanding students. The parade primarily took place along the main roads in Stueng Sen City, Kampong Thom province. It saw the participation of the school's management, teachers, the award-winning students, and their parents. The event featured decorated vehicles, congratulatory banners, musical performances, and singing, creating a festive atmosphere. Ms. Lim Kuntha appealed to parents to encourage and support their children's education, emphasizing that "Investing in human resources yields long-term benefits and serves as a solid foundation for socio-economic development." Student Srey Kimyoo and student Ni Sophak, who received 'A' grades, shared the key factors contributing to their success. These included hard work, self-study at home, regular revision of lessons, solving numerous old exam papers or sample questions, attentively listening to teachers' explanations, and bravely asking questions about unclear points. They also highlighted the importance of consistent study from primary school through high school. They further noted the crucial support from their families and teachers, which provided encouragement, facilitated their studies, and offered good guidance. Maintaining physical and mental health, managing stress, getting adequate rest, and preserving self-confidence before and during the exams were also cited as vital elements. In total, 35 candidates (13 female) from Arizon School's Kampong Thom branch took the exam, achieving the following results: 2 'A' grades, 7 'B' grades (6 female), 10 'C' grades (4 female), 10 'D' grades (2 female), and 4 'E' grades (1 female).
