Two civilians killed, two shops damaged in junta airstrikes in Moun Township

Yangon, July 16 According to a statement released by the KNU Central, two civilians were killed and two shops were damaged in airstrikes carried out by the terrorist military in Moun Township, Bago Region. It is known that on July 13, the military, using a Y-12 aircraft, dropped no less than 20 bombs on Heeu Village, Sheday Village, and Mittee Village within Moun Township. It is understood that due to these aerial bombing attacks, a bomb fragment exploded within Mittee Village, resulting in the deaths of innocent villagers Naw Bwe Pho (57 years old) and Naw Lay Wah (56 years old) who were hit by the shrapnel. Furthermore, it is known that two shops owned by local residents Saw Se Myo and Saw Lar Myo were also hit and damaged by the bombs. It is understood that there were no clashes or any military activities in the vicinity of the villages that were subjected to the aerial attacks, and the military intentionally targeted villages inhabited by civilians for the bombing. Due to the ongoing aerial attacks by the military on densely populated civilian areas, local residents are living under daily fear for their lives, and humanitarian difficulties in the region are worsening.
