Currently, 27 students have been discharged, while one remains under treatment with a stable condition. Laboratory tests on stored samples of the egg rolls revealed the presence of Salmonella bacteria. Samples from two students also tested positive for the bacteria. Health authorities suspect that the contamination likely originated from food storage containers used after preparation. An inspection of the school's collective kitchen found that it was arranged according to a one-way process for hygiene management, implemented a three-step food inspection process, and followed proper food sample storage regulations. Food preparation staff had received training on food safety and underwent regular health check-ups. Water sources and drinking water were also tested and certified according to regulations. Following the incident, the school has committed to covering all medical expenses for the affected students. The school is also conducting a thorough review of its entire food safety management process, enhancing the hygiene and disinfection of utensils, tightening control over raw materials, and strengthening supervision to prevent similar incidents. School representatives stated that this is the first food safety incident in over ten years of operation, during which the school has served more than 3,000 boarding and day students.
