Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the Uruguayan Ambassador’s commitment and agreed on the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Although Cambodia and Uruguay are geographically distant from each other, Samdech Techo Hun Sen noted that the two countries have considerable potential to expand cooperation, particularly in trade, economic relations and investment, which are key areas of bilateral ties. During his meeting with the Iranian Ambassador, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, on behalf of His Majesty the King of Cambodia, welcomed and congratulated H.E. Akbar Ghasemi Aliabadi on his appointment as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Cambodia. The Acting Head of State expressed hope that the Ambassador would contribute to further strengthening Cambodia-Iran relations during his tenure. For his part, H.E. Akbar Ghasemi Aliabadi highlighted the importance of making bilateral relations between Cambodia and Iran more active and progressive. Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his desire to further expand trade and economic ties between Cambodia and Iran, particularly cooperation in the agricultural sector. At the end of the meetings, the Cambodian Acting Head of State wished the two newly accredited Ambassadors success in their diplomatic missions in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
