US visitors join 10-day Philippine cultural and tourism tour
A 10-day "2026 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour" concluded in the Philippines with 279 participants from the US. The trip commemorated the 80th anniversary of Philippines-US diplomatic relations, allowing visitors to experience the country's culture and tourism.
MANILA, Philippines — Over 200 visitors from the United States participated in the recently concluded 2026 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour. The 10-day tourism and cultural journey had stops in Manila, Dumaguete, Cebu, Bohol and Siquijor. The tour convened 279 participants, including US elected officials, and was organized in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Philippines-United States diplomatic relations. The program deepened participants’ connection to the country by highlighting the Philippines’ vibrant heritage, culture, natural landmarks and signature hospitality. The Philippine consulate general in Los Angeles led the program in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism, Rajah Tours and Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the US.
