The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) yesterday inaugurated the construction of an automobile assembly plant by KNN Automotive Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of K N N Group, in Khsach Kandal district, Kandal province. Presiding over the ceremony on Sunday, July 26, 2026, H.E. In 2025, the CDC registered 630 investment projects with a total investment capital of nearly $10 billion. He affirmed that Cambodia is evolving into a new production base for the automotive industry and its supporting industries in the region, evidenced by the continuous increase in investments in automobile assembly plants, tire factories, and auto parts manufacturing plants. These developments contribute to job creation, technology transfer, human resource development, and strengthening Cambodia's participation in global value chains. The Investment Committee of Cambodia will continue to work closely with investors to facilitate the smooth and successful implementation of investment projects, aligning with the government's vision to make Cambodia a highly competitive, sustainable, and attractive investment destination for investors worldwide.
