Speaker of the People's Assembly urges to ask questions that the people want

It was observed that among the questions raised by the representatives in the second regular session of the third People's Assembly, questions related to regional development were more numerous than those concerning the entire nation and its people, said the Speaker of the People's Assembly, U Khin Ri. The Speaker of the People's Assembly made this remark in his closing speech on the 32nd day of the second regular session of the third People's Assembly, held on July 30. The Speaker of the People's Assembly urged the representatives to ask questions and make proposals that are truly desired by the people nationwide in the future. During the 32 days of the second regular session of the third People's Assembly, 160 representatives asked 286 starred questions and 436 unstarred questions, and three proposals were submitted as recommendations to the state. When the questions were categorized by sector, they were as follows: 111 in the economic sector, 11 in the social sector, 78 in the education sector, 42 in the health sector, 45 in the administrative sector, 58 in the management sector, 148 in the transport and construction sector, 69 in the agriculture, livestock, and irrigation sector, 62 in the electricity, energy, mining, and forestry sector, 7 in the finance and planning sector, 4 in the industrial sector, 3 in the judicial sector, 2 in the defense sector, and 82 in the region/state sector, according to the statement of the Speaker of the People's Assembly, U Khin Ri.
