Vietnam Solar Industry Eyes Growth with International Partnerships

Vietnam Solar's "2026 Gala Dinner" brought together over 350 experts and partners from the solar energy sector, both domestic and international, to outline new directions for the industry. The event, co-organized by Vietnam Solar, Aiko, Sigenergy, and Sunkean, facilitated connections within the solar energy community with the participation of numerous international corporations and over 350 partners. Experts shared new technology trends and introduced new solutions and products from international brands. This allowed partners to update market information, explore cooperation opportunities, and for customers to directly experience advanced energy technologies. A representative from Vietnam Solar stated that combining technological solutions from international brands with domestic distribution and installation systems aims to enhance service quality, optimize operational efficiency, and extend the lifespan of solar power systems for customers. The representative highly valued the event's outcome in creating opportunities for contractors, agents, and project developers to meet directly with technical experts and manufacturers, thereby exchanging solutions for investment challenges and optimizing system operational efficiency. Mr. Võ Phú Hữu, Director of Vietnam Solar Company, presented an overview of the solar energy sector's context and the company's long-term vision. "We aim to bring smart and energy-saving solutions to every Vietnamese home, helping people save costs, gain control over their power supply, and strongly promote the development of green energy," Hữu said. He reviewed the company's milestones in supporting millions of Vietnamese homes with cost-optimization solutions, enabling Vietnamese families to achieve greater self-sufficiency in accessing clean energy. Vietnam Solar currently operates a network of three branches, three distribution warehouses, and 50 sales points nationwide. The company serves as a distributor for over 20 solar energy brands, including Aiko, Sigenergy, Sunkean, BYD, Huawei, and Panasonic. Through its extensive distribution system and high-quality product portfolio, the company pursues a sustainable development strategy, contributing to the green energy transition and the creation of an environmentally friendly future in Vietnam. In terms of capacity, Vietnam Solar has deployed over 200 MWp of capacity and installed thousands of systems for households and businesses, holding ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications for quality management, environment, and safety. The solar power industry is also receiving a boost from new policies. Notably, Decree 243/2026/ND-CP allows rooftop solar power systems for self-production and self-consumption to sell up to 50% of their surplus electricity to the grid, an increase from the previous 20%.
