Ho Chi Minh City Accelerates Land Database Cleanup to Enhance Governance

Ho Chi Minh City has launched a 90-day campaign to accelerate the development of the national land database. This initiative aims not only to expedite the digitalization, standardization, and cleanup of data but also to signal a transformation in the city's governance philosophy. The campaign is expected to enhance the efficiency and transparency of land management, contributing to clearer land ownership by the government, improved accuracy in land use planning, and reduced complications in real estate transactions. Land in Vietnam is a cornerstone of economic activity, and the quality of its management is crucial for the sound development of the national economy. Especially in economic hubs like Ho Chi Minh City, rapid and accurate land data is extremely important for formulating urban development plans and making infrastructure investment decisions. This data cleanup suggests a transition towards a more advanced governance model, potentially incorporating advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). The government aims to expedite administrative services, improve communication with citizens and businesses, and promote more data-driven decision-making by utilizing digitized data.
