95 Laptops Distributed to 2 Ilocos Norte Public Schools for Digital Learning System

Ninety-five laptops were distributed to two public elementary schools in Ilocos Norte on Tuesday as part of the rollout of the government’s Enhancing Teachers’ Unimpeded Rational Objectives (E-TURO) Digital Learning System. San Nicolas Elementary School received 47 laptops, while Dingras West Central Elementary School received 48 during the turnover and deployment. The initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of teachers to effectively utilize digital learning systems. The promotion of digitalization in education is a pressing issue in the Philippines, with ICT infrastructure development being crucial for addressing educational disparities, especially in rural schools. The laptop donation is part of the Department of Education's digital transformation efforts, striving to provide quality education to students. Equalizing educational opportunities and improving digital literacy to equip students with skills relevant to the future job market are key pillars of the country's education policy.
