Vietnam Accelerates Digital Transformation Towards Electronic Court System

Vietnam's Supreme People's Court has instructed all courts nationwide to prioritize and accelerate the construction of the 'Case Management Platform,' which serves as the core foundation for the electronic court system. This platform is fundamental to the concept of an electronic court, being advanced as part of judicial reforms in Vietnam. The Supreme People's Court has urged all departments to concentrate their resources to the maximum, break down daily progress into smaller increments, and establish 'countdown timers' for each specific task and deliverable to ensure the plan's certain achievement. Notably, 2026 is positioned as a crucial milestone in the construction of the electronic court, making the completion of this platform an urgent task. The promotion of this digitalization aims to enhance the efficiency and transparency of judicial procedures, as well as improve access to judicial services for citizens. As part of the modernization of the judicial system under Vietnam's one-party rule, providing administrative services utilizing IT technology is a national priority, running parallel to economic growth.
