Vietnam Focuses on Party and People-to-People Diplomacy at 33rd Diplomatic Conference

On the morning of August 5th in Hanoi, Mr. Tran Cam Tu, a member of the Politburo and Standing Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, attended a plenary session of the 33rd Diplomatic Conference, focusing on party and people-to-people diplomacy. This conference serves as a crucial opportunity for Vietnam to strategize its foreign policy, aiming to enhance its international influence and promote national development. Deepening exchanges at the party and people-to-people levels is considered an indispensable element for gaining international understanding and support within Vietnam's one-party system. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung also attended the conference, where the importance of diplomacy in supporting national development in a new era was emphasized. Discussions were also held on cooperation between the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aiming for integrated promotion of national security and foreign policy. While pursuing economic growth, Vietnam faces complex geopolitical challenges, including its relationship with China and the South China Sea issue.
