Meeting with Hluttaw Committees: Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker met with Hluttaw committees

Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw U Khin Yi, accompanied by Deputy Speaker U Maung Maung Ohn and responsible officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw office, met with members of the Committee on Rights of Youth, Women, Children and the Elderly, and the Committee on Hotel, Tourism and Culture, in the meeting hall on the second floor of Pyithu Hluttaw Building (C), at 10:00 AM on July 20th. First, the chairpersons, secretaries, and members of the committees individually introduced themselves. Then, Daw Win Maw Tun, Chairperson of the Committee on Rights of Youth, Women, Children and the Elderly, and U Htin Aung Shein, Chairperson of the Committee on Hotel, Tourism and Culture, presented clarifications regarding the formation of the committees, their duties and responsibilities, ongoing activities, and future plans. Subsequently, the Deputy Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw stated that the Hluttaw has been doing its best to address the needs of individual representatives and committees, that lectures and training courses are also being conducted to enhance the capacities of Hluttaw representatives, and that representatives are encouraged to carry out the duties entrusted to them by the Hluttaw with quality and dedication. After that, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw provided detailed guidance on the committees' duties and responsibilities. He noted that the responsibilities and objectives of both the Committee on Rights of Youth, Women, Children and the Elderly and the Committee on Hotel, Tourism and Culture are broad and significant for national development and the improvement of the people's socio-economic well-being, it’s reported.
