Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his anticipation for an increase in Cambodian products in the US market in the future. This expectation arises as a delegation from the American-Cambodian Business Council (ACBC) is identifying investment opportunities in key sectors within Cambodia. During a meeting with the ACBC delegation, led by Ms. Chan Sokvasna, at the Peace Palace on the morning of September 10, 2026, representatives from ACBC companies indicated strong interest in investing in Cambodia, particularly in the logistics, agriculture, and furniture sectors. Ms. Chan Sokvasna stated that this visit aims to foster stronger connections between investors of both countries, Cambodia and the United States, and to further expand bilateral trade volume. She also informed the Prime Minister about discussions between the delegation and relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions, where these bodies shared information on Cambodia's investment potential in significant sectors. Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the ACBC delegation's business visit to Cambodia, considering it a significant driving force for promoting business connections between Cambodia and the United States. The Prime Minister believes there are numerous potentials for further cooperation between the two countries, especially in trade and investment. He expressed optimism that Cambodian products will have a greater presence in the US market in the days to come. Addressing American investors, the Prime Minister highlighted the Cambodian government's vision to transform the Sihanoukville Port into a regional logistics hub and its intention to enhance connectivity between this port and major US ports.
