Vietnam, Italy uphold international standing by staying true to identities: Italian official

Italian Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Valentino Valentini stated that Vietnam and Italy maintain their international standing by staying true to their unique identities. He emphasized that economic cooperation between the two countries continues to expand. According to Valentini, economic cooperation between the two nations is progressing across various sectors. This includes the use of Italian machinery in factories in Vietnam, growing Vietnamese coffee exports to Italy, and the establishment of value chains that combine Vietnam’s manufacturing capacity with Italian technology and expertise. Recent developments include the Genoa–Da Nang conference, which has strengthened local cooperation between Vietnam and Italy. Vietnam is also seeking stronger links with businesses in northern Italy. Furthermore, Vietnam is pushing for deeper tech and green cooperation with Italy, reflecting its commitment to balancing economic growth with environmental protection. Vietnam's economic growth has been remarkable, with its role in global supply chains, particularly in manufacturing, steadily increasing. Amidst complex relations with China, Vietnam is attempting to achieve economic and diplomatic balance by strengthening ties with European nations. Cooperation with Italy is seen as part of this strategy.
