BRIN to Showcase Innovations, Including Rice Biosalin and LPG Alternative, to President Prabowo

The Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is preparing to present numerous innovative technologies it has developed to President Prabowo on August 6, 2026. Among the highlights are 'Rice Biosalin,' a salt-tolerant rice variety, and 'ANG,' a potential alternative fuel to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Through these innovations, BRIN aims to contribute to strengthening Indonesia's food security, promoting energy transition, and achieving a sustainable society. The innovations to be presented are expected to cover a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, energy, environment, and health. 'Rice Biosalin' is a rice variety that can be cultivated in coastal areas or regions with high salinity, and it is anticipated to boost agricultural productivity along Indonesia's extensive coastline. Meanwhile, 'ANG' holds the potential to support a shift towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources, reducing reliance on LPG. This presentation is expected to serve as an opportunity to emphasize the Prabowo administration's focus on scientific and technological development and the enhancement of the nation's innovative capabilities.
