Cambodian Anti-Human Trafficking Police Conduct Live Ammunition Training

The Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police Force of Cambodia has conducted live ammunition training after completing theoretical courses on weapon usage techniques. The live firing exercise was led by Major General Sok Sambour, Chief of the Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Department, on the morning of September 11, 2026, at the Police Command Unit. Major General Sok Sambour urged the instructors to share their knowledge, skills, and best experiences with the trainees to ensure they can apply them with high safety and effectiveness. He stated that after completing this specialized training, all police officers will gain a clearer understanding of the techniques for using weapons and storing them safely. Notably, they have undergone practical, on-site training. The head of the department affirmed that the Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police Force has the duty to maintain security, order, safety, and to suppress trafficking crimes. Therefore, specialized training must be conducted regularly. He clarified that this training does not imply that the police force is unaware of or unskilled in weapon usage techniques, but rather serves to reinforce their commitment and ensure they possess accurate expertise.
