Thailand Launches Upgraded ThaiWater System for Enhanced Disaster Preparedness

BANGKOK, Thailand – The government has launched an upgraded version of the ThaiWater platform to improve disaster preparedness by providing earlier warnings and easier access to national water and weather information. The new system integrates data from 56 government agencies under 13 ministries and one independent organization into a single platform to support more coordinated water management. Deputy Government Spokesperson Patdarasm Thongsaluaykorn said the revamped platform has been developed for both the public and technical users. Its interactive map provides real-time information on weather radar, rainfall, water levels, reservoir conditions, flood-risk areas, and PM2.5 air quality, while an upgraded warning system offers location-specific forecasts to help people prepare for potential hazards.
