Vietnamese Officer Appointed to Senior UN Peacekeeping Role
Vietnam's Department of Peacekeeping Operations announced the first appointment of a Vietnamese officer to a senior position within a UN peacekeeping mission. Over the past decade, Vietnam has deployed over 1,300 personnel, with a particular emphasis on the contributions of female peacekeepers.
