Phnom Penh Authorities Upgrade Rural Road to Reinforced Concrete in Por Sen Chey District
A damaged rural road in Phnom Penh's Por Sen Chey district, deteriorated by seasonal rains, has been upgraded to a reinforced concrete surface. This development is expected to significantly improve the convenience of daily commutes and livelihoods for local residents.
In Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, a damaged rural road in Por Sen Chey district, which had been severely impacted by heavy seasonal rains and made difficult for residents to traverse, has now been upgraded to a reinforced concrete road. The road is situated in the Trapeang Po village, Chamchav 3 Sangkat (administrative division). Previously, during the rainy season, potholes of various sizes would form, hindering passage and disrupting the daily lives and livelihoods of the residents. In response to this situation, Mr. Sok Chantha Kanrith, the Governor of Por Sen Chey District, instructed Mr. Va Savon, the Chief of Chamchav 3 Sangkat, to take swift action. Mr. Va Savon dispatched a team of specialists to the site to survey and analyze the current condition of the road. Following this, heavy machinery was utilized for ground leveling, and the reinforced concrete paving work commenced. The newly developed road will measure 7 meters in width and extend for 415 meters. The budget for this infrastructure development has been allocated from the Por Sen Chey District Foundation. This road improvement project is expected not only to enhance the transportation options for local residents but also to stimulate economic activities. Specifically, it is anticipated to facilitate the transportation of agricultural products and streamline local trade, thereby contributing to the region's economic development.
